Okay, for the sake of argument, let's assume some things here...
Assumption 1) You have a "source" within AM
Assumption 2) AM actually did kidnap some random person we've never heard about before
Given these two assumptions, there's no way your "source" would know about the kidnapping because that kind of information would be kept within our governing council where I have every faith that no one there is a spy.
